Total production of Appenzeller® cheese in the year 2008 was 8,994 tons.

 

The total production amount evaluated in 2008 as “A1 quality” was 97.93%.

 

Foreign sales accounted for 59.57% of all Appenzeller® cheese sales in 2008 (2/3 in Germany, followed by France and Austria).

 

Appenzeller® CLASSIC and Appenzeller® SURCHOIX accounted for 90% of all sales.
